Following up on an Asia Express article dated February 9, LG announced that it will begin shipment of its low-cost KU-250 phone, which was chosen for the GSMA "3G for All" initiative, by May 2007. The bar-type, 3G WCDMA handset supports video calls, multitasking, Bluetooth, and high-speed internet access with up to 1.8Mbps data transfer speeds. The first batch will be delivered to European mobile operators including T-Mobile and Hutchison in May, and to other operators such as Vodafone, Telefonica, and SFR in June, and finally to several Asian countries including Hong Kong and Singapore.
